private beta / works with your agent
Ask your agent for a video.
Make short vertical videos by asking your own coding agent: Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor or Gemini CLI. Your agent writes the script, designs the scene, and renders the video into your project folder.
02 Write
Words, not a draft pile.
03 Render
A vertical short, in videos/.
04 Publish
Official APIs, disclosed.
01How it works
Make a project, ask your agent, get a video.
Source
Open your project folder in your agent and ask for a short. Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor and Gemini CLI all read the folder and know what to do.
- in
- make me a short about X
- out
- a topic
Write
Your agent writes the script, the hook, the title, and the hashtags, and designs the scene for this one idea.
- in
- topics
- out
- script, hook, title, hashtags
Render
A 1080×1920 video rendered on your machine with Remotion, Framey or HyperFrames. It lands in videos/ with a readable name and a transcript beside it.
- in
- the script
- out
- 1080×1920 short, voice, transcript
Publish
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, through their official APIs, with the AI-disclosure flag always set. Publishing waits for your own platform keys. Without one, the upload is skipped and the video stays on your machine.

What it looks like
You ask. The run reports back.
An illustration of a run as your agent might report it. Publishing is skipped here because no platform key is set.
Start
npm create vfrey@latest my-channelcd my-channel
Then open the folder in your agent and ask for a short.
you make me a short about how octopuses change colorvfrey source the idea, from youvfrey write script, hook, title, hashtagsvfrey render videos/2026-10-26 How octopuses change color.mp4vfrey publish no YouTube key: upload skipped, video kept on your machine
02Watch it run
One local dashboard.
A board of runs, a timeline for each one, and the video. It runs on your machine and opens with one command from your project folder.
- waiting
- running
- finished
- failed
From your project folder, one command opens it:
npx vfrey open
03What it will not do
Rules it keeps, every run.
- ALWAYS
Official APIs only
Every read and every upload goes through an official API or feed.
- NEVER
No browser tricks
No browser automation, no scraping, and no downloads of other creators' videos.
- ALWAYS
AI disclosure fails closed
The AI-disclosure flag is always set. If a platform refuses the label, the post is blocked.
- NEVER
TikTok is not a topic source
TikTok is a place to publish, not a place to read from. It gets no comment replies.
- ALWAYS
Two kinds of stop
A quality failure is rejected. A compliance failure is blocked. They are never confused.
- ALWAYS
Your keys, your call
Publishing waits for your own platform keys. Without one, the video stays on your machine.

05FAQ
Questions, answered with what exists today.
Can I use it today?
vfrey is in private beta and free to install and use during the beta. Run npm create vfrey@latest my-channel (during the beta use npm create vfrey@beta my-channel), open the folder in your agent, and ask for a short.
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. The project folder tells each one what to do. vfrey has no model of its own, so you pay for your agent, not per video.
Does it post on its own?
Publishing waits for your own platform keys. Without a key the upload is skipped and the video stays on your machine.
Where does it run?
On your machine. The short is rendered locally, the videos land in your project's videos/ folder, and the data stays in the project's private .vfrey/ folder. The platform keys belong to you.
Which platforms does it publish to?
YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, through their official APIs.
Does it label the video as AI-generated?
Always. The AI-disclosure flag is set on every upload. If a platform refuses the label, the post is blocked rather than posted without it.
Does it scrape or automate a browser?
No. It uses official APIs only. No browser automation, no scraping, and no downloads of other creators' videos.
Can it read TikTok for topics?
No. TikTok is not a topic source and it gets no comment replies. Topics come from official RSS, YouTube, and Reddit reads.
What is the difference between rejected and blocked?
A quality failure is rejected. A compliance failure is blocked.
Is Framey part of it?
Framey is one of the three render engines, with Remotion and HyperFrames. It renders HTML and GSAP.
